Charlie Dewhirst lives in Wansford, near Driffield, with his wife and two children. He grew up in Nafferton before moving to London after university to pursue a career in sport and communications. He has previously worked with Hull City AFC, London 2012 Olympics and England Rugby and has advised a diverse range of businesses and charities, including Bacardi-Martini and the Royal British Legion.
Charlie moved back home to East Yorkshire to take on a senior organising role with the Cycling World Championships and then returned to his local farming roots, as an adviser to the British pig industry. He was also Vice Chair of the Conservative Rural Forum and founded a charitable consultancy which advised local businesses impacted during the COVID pandemic. hewas a local councillor, representing the East Wolds & Coastal ward, and was Deputy Leader of East Riding Council.
In the 2024 General Election, Charlie was elected as Member of Parliament for his home constituency of Bridlington & The Wolds, where it is his huge honour to represent the people of Bridlington, Driffield, Hornsea, Market Weighton & The Wolds.
