It was a pleasure to have a meeting with Sir Chris Whitty this week to discuss the challenges facing our local health services. As the UK’s Chief Medical Officer, Sir Chris has previously commissioned a report into health inequalities in coastal towns and his research is key to persuade the NHS to move more resources into our area.
