The independent Office for Budget Responsibility has today said it is highly uncertain that Labour’s cruel Family Farm Tax will raise the money they claim it will. Furthermore, eight of the country's largest supermarkets are now calling on the Government to review their plans, which will break up local family businesses and do little to deter the super-wealthy looking to avoid inheritance tax through land purchases.
Faced with evidence that their figures are wrong, Labour is doubling down on their determination to ruin the countryside and risk our food security. I will keep taking every opportunity to push the ministers to reconsider these disastrous plans.
